WINNER STREET TAKEOVER
SAT 8 JUNE, 10AM – 6PM

Join-in a day that celebrates the best of neighbourhood and kindness. There will be music, dance, play, creative activities and pop up performances as we can all enjoy a car free space for one day only! Free to attend, fun for all the family at the heart of Paignton.

Music performance set amongst the extraordinary canvas of our UNESCO Global Geopark. Go to Anstey’s Cove in Torquay on Sat 8 June (11am & 5pm) and above Elberry Cove on the SW Coast Path in Brixham on Sun 9 June (11am & 5pm). Free to attend, just turn up and watch in awe!

FABRIC OF HOME | AMY PITT
SAT 8 & SUN 9 JUNE, 10AM – 6PM
 

Join-in this mass sewing event all weekend, led by artist Amy Pitt, on the lawns of Singer’s former home at Oldway Mansion in Paignton. Register to sew here or just turn up and sew! Watch the 3D giant handmade map of Torbay come alive. All ages and experience levels welcome, including kids! There will be plenty to see as the days unfold.  

GRASS MEN | ASHLEY PEEVOR
SAT 8 & SUN 9 JUNE

Meet the living meandering beasts that explore our relationship with nature. Inspired by mythology, these part-sculpture, part-performance Grass Men have been grown using local flora. An absurd spectacle like no other! See them at Winner Street (Saturday 11am-12) Paignton and Shoalstone Pool (Saturday 4-5pm) and Berry Head (Sunday 1.45pm-3pm) Brixham. 

THE CAVE HUNTERS & THE TRUTH MACHINE | SEAN HARRIS
SAT 8 – SUN 16 JUNE, 12 – 6/8PM

See lantern projections inspired by Victorian cave hunters and the local remains of ancient beasts. Packed with surprise and wonder, step inside the 200-year-old All Saints Church in Brixham. Installation features extraordinary material held in the internationally important collections of Torquay Museum

ELECTRIC SOUND PALACE |
CHRIS TIMPSON SAT 8 – SUN 16 JUNE, FROM 12 NOON DAILY

One of Europe’s oldest cinemas will be brought to life through 3D soundscapes. Conjure up Paignton Picture House’s original 21-piece orchestra in this immersive installation created by Sound Artist Chris Timpson. Book online or just turn up. Performances free and on the hour. Starts 5pm Friday and then from 12 noon to 6/8pm daily until 16th June.

SILENCE BETWEEN WAVES | RICHARD CHAPPELL DANCE
SUN 9 JUNE, 3.30 – 4.30PM

Watch the work of Richard Chappell – the internationally renowned Choreographer and Dancer from Torbay – who is working with three exceptional Singaporean dancers and a large community cast to present spectacular live dance at beautiful Berry Head. This is a collaborative performance about what it means to be ‘home’ told through movement and sound.
