The Brixham Blind Club

The Brixham Blind Club meet regularly and hope to involve blind and visually impaired people from all across Torbay, their outings and events creating a sense of care and friendship amongst, they tell us, ‘many lonely and isolated people who need to come to terms with their own individual situations.’

There is no membership fee, and they welcome all blind or visually impaired people as well as their family members, carers and friends.

The club meets on the first Monday of the month at the United Reform Church, New Road, Brixham, from 2.30pm – 4.30pm

On other days they arrange outings, visiting venues such as Torre Abbey and Coleton Fishacre, enjoy meals out, visit the theatre and cinema, and for the more active, operate The Eyes Have It ten pin bowling club, and the No Limits disability archery group.

They also go horse riding and sailing, as well as playing pub skittles. ‘We can provide transport from around the Bay,’ they add, ‘so why not visit our website and look at our diary of events?’
