A sad loss to our community

We were very sad to hear this week that local resident, Basil Brown, passed away on 20th January.

Julie Brandon said:

Whilst I personally had only known Basil for a short while, he has left a lasting impression on me; I would have liked more time to get to know him better.
He attended the first meeting of St Luke’s Residents’ Association and was a strong supporter of the aim of the group, which is to encourage friendships and to support and help each other.
Some of you will remember him, as he kindly invited anyone living locally to share the ‘Red Arrows’ experience with him on his terrace last summer. Going that extra mile, he provided wine to make the evening more convivial.
His family have asked that we all raise a glass to Basil, something I will gladly do.
A sad loss to our community.
