The SLRA Big Sweep

This morning, during very inclement weather, some residents of St Luke’s area took part in the BIG SWEEP.

There had been overnight thunder storms and the heavy rain persisted.  However, the stalwarts of the area were not confounded and were busy brushing and raking leaves and other debris into the path of the road sweeper vehicle.

During the previous few days, a number of residents were out doing their bit ready for today, clearing paths of weeds and rubbish.

The whole exercise was organised, very expertly, by Mike McHugh.  Thanks to everyone who got stuck-in – the area is now very tidy (for the time being).
