Parkfield is hosting a new BMX Club for Torbay and now volunteer committee members are needed to help run and grow the newly formed group at the Torbay Council run youth centre.

An interest in BMX or any form of cycling isn’t required. The committee will meet on a fortnightly basis and needs people who can spare four hours a month. The aim is to provide a fun BMX club for kids.

The call for volunteers has been made by Simon Warner, Torbay BMX Racing Club’s volunteers co-ordinator and Cllr Robert Excell, Torbay Council’s Executive lead for Sport.

Ideally volunteers need to be aged 18 and over. More information is available by emailing simonwarner11@hotmail.com or you can call 01803 698900 and ask for Jon Mitchell.
