Latest Foster’s Fund Payouts
Earlier today I welcomed four local charities and good causes to my East St for a presentation of the latest awards from my Foster’s Fund.
The four awards presented today totaled £1,700 and will be used to fund a range of activities including drama Sessions, community outreach work and providing new equipment for local Sea Scouts.
Foster’s Fund was established in 2015 following my pledge to donate the 10% pay rise for MPs to charity if it was implemented by IPSA. A change in the law made after the expenses scandal in 2009 means MPs no longer vote on their own pay.
The four awards were:
£1,000 10th Torbay (Babbacombe) Sea Scout Group
£300 Unleashed Theatre Company
£200 The Willows Community Church
£200 Smart Recovery
