Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious injuries following an assault in Torquay.
A 21-year-old man from Torquay was assaulted by two men, both carrying with weapons in an unprovoked attack between 6.30pm-7.30pm on Saturday 12th August.
The victim was set upon in lower Ellacombe Church Road resulting in him sustaining a bleeding wound to his head; he had to go to hospital for treatment.
It is believed that his attackers were both wearing hooded tops or jackets; one was carrying a metal pole, the other a baseball bat.
Police would like to hear from anyone who has any information that can help detectives with their investigation.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area during this time, and who may have seen a group of men fleeing the area.
