The Chair of the Torquay Neighbourhood Plan has recently received communication from the TDA advising that all the green spaces that have been designated for protection by the Forum have been objected to on the grounds of ‘possible future develeopment’ This was in response to the statutory consultation that closes today.

There will be a meeting of the forum Monday 18th September at 6.30 to discuss this and other responses to the consultation which closes today. The meeting will be held at the Torbay Community Development Trust offices in Temperance Street and anyone can attend.

There will also be a meeting of the Torquay Town Centre Community Partnership (TTCCP) on Wednesday 20th September which starts at 7 PM at the same venue as above. The TTCCP will be discussing those green spaces within their area that are affected. Again this meeting is open to anyone to attend.

A full list of the sites can be found here.

Clearly the forum are shocked that not one of the green spaces that members of the community who have participated in this process for some time now, has been supported. Not least because the Forum have been working closely with Torbay Council throughout the process and had been given no indication that such an objection would be made.

If you wish to make any representations on the plan you have just one day remaining to do so.
