I have logged my objection to these plans. They are at odds with what our local community partnership has submitted as part of the Community led Neighbourhood Plan, These plans will mean the loss of Cary Green which would be turned into a private car park and in addition the height of this development at it’s highest point will be between 5 and 7 stories high, that is higher than the Abbey Sands development. This will overshadow the inner harbour and in my view significantly impact on the surrounding buildings not least the Pavilion which will be absorbed into the hotel and therefore lost as a community asset.
