Roebuck House update

It looks like all is well.

Vigilance is still required though.

Mark Thomas, Practice Manager of Chelston Hall Surgery has said:

We are still plan A and the developers are keen to do a deal. We think the whole building is close to purchase and long term lease. (all health and social activity)

Hopefully we can sign in the next 2-3 weeks.

Councillor Darren Cowell has said:

We are still plan A thankfully.

Heads of terms to purchase three floors have been finalised and it is looking likely that some services will also move into the three top floors on long leases.

I think the developers are submitting the application a) to put pressure on the surgery etc to agree all terms and b) keep their options open.

So – it looks like all of Roebuck house will be retained as office/community space and become the hub that has been discussed for many months.

There are still some issues to be agreed and developed such as grant funding and other items I am helping the Surgery resolve – but there is a degree of confidence that all will be resolved soon.

Finally – there is a strong likelihood that 37 car parking spaces have been allocated for staff in Temperance Street – minimising car parking issues in the area.
