Devon and Cornwall Police say:

Two burglaries were committed in Warren Road, Torquay on Tuesday 11th March 2014.

Crime No. FT/14/1620 occurred between 1000hrs and 1830hrs, a double glazed window was smashed and a laptop stolen.

Crime No. FT/14/1621. At approximately 1620hrs, 11th March a male was knocking on a front door asking to be let in. He is described as being of mixed race, in his late 20’s approximatly 6ft tall, slim to medium build with crew cut/shaven hair and wearing jeans, navy blue coat and a striped blue and cream scarf. It is believed that whilst this male was distracting the homeowner another person gained entry by forcing a rear door but nothing stolen.

Would residents please be aware and report any suspicious persons promptly to the Police.
