TORBAY residents are being urged to report damage and potholes to the council.
Torbay Council says it has a highways response team on hand to deal with the damage caused by severe weather.
The quickest way for the public to get repairs underway is on the council’s website here, which alerts the inspector to react on the following working day.
Alternatively, defects can be reported by email at Highways@torbay.gov.uk or by telephone on 01803 207900.
All reported damage will be assessed during additional inspections, and will be marked for repair if they meet the current safety intervention levels which is currently 40mm deep or more for a pothole and 20mm or more for a trip hazard.
A spokesman said the council will continue to take all measures to keep the roads safe despite adverse weather and welcomes the public’s assistance in alerting the teams to potential defects.
Details of these inspections and other highway related issues can be seen on the council’s website here.
