Burns Night at the Brampton

Burns Night was celebrated in style at Brampton Court.

Burns Night is the annual celebratory tribute to the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796).

And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere!
And gie’s a hand o’ thine!
And we’ll tak’ a right guid-willie waught,
For auld lang syne.

The haggis, neeps and tatties, not to mention the tot of whisky, were excellent.  The atmosphere was lively and the company good.

The highlight of the night, however, had to be the piper, who piped-in the haggis and delivered the traditional rendition of Burns’ Address To A Haggis.  For anyone who missed the event, here’s a photograph of the piper (did Burns play pool, I wonder?):
