The SLRA Wiki is operative

A Wiki is a website developed collaboratively by a community of users, allowing any user to add and edit content.

If you’ve ever visited www.wikipedia.org or en.wiktionary.org, you will have an idea what to expect.

The SLRA Wiki, which is currently under development, can be found at stlukesra.referata.com.  Please visit the Wiki to see what it’s all about.  There are a few pages to get started, one of which you may freely use to try your hand at editing.

Residents (and anyone else) will be able to add and amend content freely.  So, if you have an interest in local history for instance, you will be able to begin a new page on a specific topic, say “The Castle Hotel”, enter what information you know, then others could contribute to that page.

There will be few restrictions on what people can put on the Wiki, but all content will be peer reviewed and all changes will be logged against either a username (if you have one) and/or your IP address.  Obviously, offensive content will not be tolerated and will be removed as soon as possible.  Also, copyrights need to be adhered to.

So, have a look and watch this space for further information and developments.
